According to the manufacturing principles of temperature controllers, they can be divided into:
1, Jump type temperature controller: Various types of jump type temperature controllers are collectively referred to as KSD, commonly such as KSD301, KSD302, etc. This temperature controller is a new type of bimetallic sheet temperature controller, mainly used as a thermal protector for various electric heating products. It is usually connected in series with a thermal fuse for primary protection. A thermal fuse serves as a secondary protective device when the sudden tripping temperature controller fails or causes overheating of the heating element, effectively preventing the burning of the heating element and the resulting fire accidents. [1]
2, Liquid expansion temperature controller: It is a physical phenomenon (volume change) that causes the material (usually liquid) in the temperature sensing part of the temperature controller to undergo corresponding thermal expansion and contraction when the temperature of the controlled object changes. The membrane box connected to the temperature sensing part expands or contracts. Based on the principle of leverage, the liquid expansion temperature controller drives the on/off action of the switch to achieve the goal of constant temperature. It has the characteristics of accurate temperature control, stability and reliability, small on/off temperature difference, wide range of temperature control adjustment, and large overload current. Liquid expansion temperature controllers are mainly used in temperature control fields such as the home appliance industry, electric heating equipment, and refrigeration industry.
3, Pressure type temperature controller, modified to use a sealed inner temperature sensing working fluid temperature bag and capillary tube to convert the controlled temperature change into a change in spatial pressure or volume. When the temperature set value is reached, the contact is automatically closed through elastic elements and fast instantaneous mechanisms to achieve automatic temperature control. It consists of three parts: a temperature sensing part, a temperature setting body part, and a micro switch or automatic air door that performs opening and closing. Pressure type temperature controllers are suitable for refrigeration appliances (such as refrigerators, freezers, etc.) and heating devices.
4, Electronic temperature controller, electronic temperature controller (resistance type) is measured using the method of resistance temperature sensing. Generally, platinum wire, copper wire, tungsten wire, and thermistors are used as temperature measuring resistors, each of which has its own advantages. Most household air conditioners use thermistor type.
Steam type
Working principle: vapor pressure type
The action of the corrugated pipe acts on the spring, and the elasticity of the spring is controlled by the knob on the control board. The capillary tube is placed at the air inlet of the indoor air conditioning unit to respond to the temperature of the indoor circulating return air. When the room temperature rises to the set temperature, the temperature sensing gas in the capillary tube and corrugated tube expands, causing the corrugated tube to extend and overcome the elasticity of the spring to connect the switch contacts. At this time, the compressor operates and the system cools until the room temperature drops to the set temperature again. The temperature sensing gas shrinks, and the corrugated tube shrinks and acts together with the spring, placing the switch in the disconnected position to cut off the motor circuit of the compressor. Repeat this action repeatedly to achieve the goal of controlling the room temperature.
Electronic
Electronic temperature controllers (resistive) are measured using resistance temperature sensing methods, typically using platinum wire, copper wire, tungsten wire, and semiconductors (thermistors, etc.) as temperature measuring resistors, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Most sensors for household air conditioners are thermistor type.
